Ronaldinho has completed a move to Mexico and top-flight club Queretaro.

The former Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and AC Milan star, who left Brazilian side Atletico Mineiro in July, has signed a two-year deal with the Roosters.

"I chose Mexico for the affection I have always received here. I am very motivated to represent Queretaro," declared Ronaldinho, via Twitter.

The 2005 Ballon d'Or winner, who claimed World Cup success in 2002 and won the European Cup with Barca in 2006, had been offered the chance to join Conference South side Basingstoke Town.

He heads to Mexico's Liga MX with his new club sitting eighth in the Apertura, after seven games of the domestic summer season.

If they can qualify for continental competition come the end of the season in the CONCACAF Champions League, then the 97-cap Brazilian will go in search of a sensational treble, having won both the UEFA Champions League and Copa Libertadores during his career.
